Demise Chipiliro's Story I had the opportunity to learn basic coding in high school, but due to life circumstances and moving, I never got the chance to pursue it further. However, my interest in coding has resurfaced as I seek a career change. In my previous roles, I was naturally drawn to UI design elements, CRM management, and workflow automation. The more I explored these areas, the more I realized how coding skills would complement my career ambitions. I recently completed a short course from ALX Africa on AI Career Essentials, which deepened my appreciation for technology and its role in shaping the future. My journey in learning AI applications through ALX Africa also reinforced my belief that coding is an essential skill for problem-solving and digital innovation.

🙋‍♀️ Demise Chipiliro's Motivation

I aspire to transition into a career as a professional developer, with a strong focus on UI/UX Design, as I see this path as an opportunity to expand my career options and achieve greater financial stability. As I started researching the field, I realized that learning coding provides a solid foundation for this career path. Despite trying other free coding courses in the past, I struggled to grasp the concepts fully. However, the free SheCodes coding class I attended recently made the content much easier to understand, and I no longer felt overwhelmed. It gave me more clarity on how coding can be a practical and valuable skill for my future career. Being part of the SheCodes community would allow me to learn in a supportive environment while gaining practical skills that will help me secure a job in tech. Transitioning into flexible remote work aligns perfectly with my goals and offers the opportunity to grow in a technology-driven role. I’m excited about the potential that coding holds in expanding my career options and enabling me to contribute to impactful projects in the tech field.
