Morva's Story Almost all of my family members and relatives are majored in math, physics, or computer. I lived my whole life with them around me (I’ll tell you about myself in the last box later on). The first spark of interest in computer was when I used to play video games with my older brother when i was only a kid. He -a software programmer- always had a huge impact on me and I always loved to see him whenever he created something that I can interact with. Plus, I’m sort of a geek myself and I have always been fascinated with problem solving, deciphering codes, enigmas, puzzles, and basically anything that requires intense brain activity. I mean I can keep myself busy with a simple Rubik cube or medical flowcharts for hours, how awesome is that?!

🙋‍♀️ Morva's Motivation

We live in the digital era and knowing how to work with computers are obviously crucial to thrive. Now I as a medical doctor practice medicine in everyday life and I’m fully aware of overcoming the challenges. I believe learning to code can actually help me to improve my clinical competence as well as thinking outside the box about medical systems and I am ambitious enough to think about making a difference by developing novel methods/approaches/designs, etc in my own specialized field. I also love medical research fields and I think ability of coding and programming gives me an edge in earning potential job opportunities in future. I have heard about SheCodesFoundation from a friend and I thought I’d try to pursue one of my long life wishes (more details are included in the last box).

🤹‍♀️ Morva's Hobbies

It’s not as if it’s special or you can make money off of it, or you can show it off in the “show and tell” of life. It’s just my little happinesses scattered around, while I look at all the things that are intriguing and interesting, yet I will never have the chance or the time to know them or enjoy them. Since I’m a medical doctor and I have to organize my leisure time carefully to make them happen, these are the only things I can fit in my schedule; spending quality time with my family and friends, online learning, learning about different languages and cultures, Reading scientific articles, literature and writing, listening to music, watching movies, solving puzzles cross-words sudokus, bakery (on weekends), traveling (didn’t happen during Covid), playing basketball (from time to time), dancing, playing video games...

The Delac Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The Delac Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
