Minh's Story At the age of 20 when everyone decided to jump on the bandwagon or choose an easy job, I was still struggling to find out what I was interested in. Because I know that my life does not boil down to money and ease, I wanted to enjoy my life with a suitable job. Therefore, I have tried a lot of jobs from teaching, sales, marketing,... but there is nothing suitable for me. I was so desperate and decided to take a personality test in 16personalites.com. Surprisingly, I was a logistician-type and they recommended me to go in the data analytics way. Before becoming a data analyst, Coding such as Python and SQL,... is the basic requirement for this job. Then I decided to spend some time searching about it, which has excited me a lot lately while learning about it. But because of the high cost of a coding course in Viet Nam, I do not have the chance to approach it in a thoughtful way. Then I participated in many contests to have a money award to learn. On that journey, I found out that I was very fascinated in processing data .I can spend the whole night running eviews to analytic data. At this time, I believe coding is my favorite of all time, it makes me stand out and become the “real” me when I am coding.

🙋‍♀️ Minh's Motivation

Coding is an essential tool for me to reach my interested job. I want to work in the data analytics profession. A coding course in VietNam is unaffordable for me as it is a new profession in Vietnam. Therefore, in order to get a nice bump in data analytics, I want to learn coding in a professional learning environment like SheCodes. Shecodes is believed to open many opportunities for me to obtain my dream to learn coding. Moreover, through learning coding with SheCodes, i want to shout out that “ Not only man can do in the coding profession. Woman herself can also do great in this hard profession or even better”.In Vietnam, my family does not have boys so everyone looks down on us. Gender prejudice disgusts me and this prejudice will be the energy to boost my motivation and my ability to learn in my favorite profession. Lastly, I want to develop my critical thinking and coding is the best practice for my brain.

🤹‍♀️ Minh's Hobbies

When I have free time, I have to go to the market to support my mother selling or do some farming work, and prepare the goods to be sold the next day. However, going to the market helps me have knowledge about the way people sell, the problem they have when selling. Moreover, the people at the market teach me a lot about the living lessons, personal tricks that they can conclude in life, many dilemmas they have in life which makes me feel luckier and try harder to help them, improve the living environment for them. I really enjoyed reading about psychology because I can understand why people behave like that. Because books are expensive, I can buy only 2 books till now. But when I have a chance, I always read it and the books become a way to escape my poor and pitiful life and open up my own favorite world.
