Linh Khanh's Story My first touchpoint with coding was when I was in secondary school & learning Pascal language. I started to write lines of rules to check whether the three random numbers fit three sides of a triangle or create an application result search tool by inserting student ID. The subject fitted me well because I loved to challenge myself with logical issues. It made me to come to the very basics of things and try to make the computer understand it.

🙋‍♀️ Linh Khanh's Motivation

Learning English has changed my life, from the one that acknowledged nothing about her own values to the one that knows herself and her endless capability, starts to recognize and analyze the mechanism of life from many perspectives. So coming to SheCodes, I believe Coding, as a new language, can help me prompt such an acknowledgment once again. I joined International Business major 3 years ago and was trained to solve the corporate problem, using business framework & data. When it comes to solutions, I always got stuck in soft strategy and wished that I should have known any technology or application that can help effectively & efficiently tackle the root cause. I was amazed by the way Uber or Grab used coding to maximize the driver's route by matching the right driver with the right customer, forecasting traffic congestion. I imagined if the same method is used to allocate the social resources by matching the abundance to the lack & maximizing the efficiency of time and cost. As a businesswoman, I don't want to stop at strategic advice, I want to create impactful & executive solutions that can change the game. And I know, by understanding the language of computer & utilizing it, I can make the change.

🤹‍♀️ Linh Khanh's Hobbies

I love singing and grabbing a mic on the stage, interacting to people through lyrics and eye contact. You can feel like you are connecting and telling your story with strangers, who are willing to listen and sharing the same heartbeat. But I was able to do this twice a year, on special occasions. I spent most of my free time learning new language (Japanese), reading books on history, literature, business and strategy. I am really into how our Eastern ancestors formed their philosophy about life and how they strategized their relationship with themselves, their family, their fellows & their nation.
