Acwengile's Story I first became interested in coding in grade 7 when I saw my older cousin working on a project. Watching them write lines of code that transformed into a functional program fascinated me. It was incredible to see how something so complex could bring ideas to life and create solutions that impact the world. Inspired by that moment, I began exploring coding myself, starting with small projects like designing simple games and solving puzzles. What drew me in was the endless possibilities coding offered—a way to turn creativity into something tangible and impactful. As I grew older, my passion for coding deepened. I realized that it was more than just writing programs; it was a way of thinking critically and solving problems efficiently. I loved how coding gave me the freedom to innovate and express myself through technology. Whether it was creating a basic website or experimenting with Python scripts, each step felt rewarding and fueled my determination to learn more. Now, as a software development student, I am excited to continue this journey. Coding has become an integral part of who I am, and I want to keep improving my skills to bring even bigger ideas to life and contribute meaningfully to the tech industry.
To gain effective skills in coding, I am eager to learn with She Codes because of its commitment to empowering women through technology. As a first-year software development student, I have already begun to uncover the vast potential coding has to offer. I want to deepen my understanding and sharpen my abilities through She Codes’ structured learning environment and supportive community. Skating and gaming are two of my favorite hobbies because they allow me to express myself and have fun in unique ways. Skating gives me a sense of freedom and helps me stay active, while gaming fuels my creativity, problem-solving skills, and passion for technology, making both activities deeply rewarding.
