Aida's Story the reason why I started coding and also enjoyed working in development was the goal of attending to a robotic competition which held in our university at the age of 17. we were trying to design a pathfinder robot which was working with sensors. although I had limited knowledge about programming and future job opportunities, I worked hard to learn C++ by myself and our team (named as Varan) achieved the first place reward in the internal robotic competition.

🙋‍♀️ Aida's Motivation

my main motivation for learning programming is to develop my skills in a better way to be able to work in the telecom network area and gain money from any related job offers. In addition, Since I am a PhD student in IT management field I need to be updated in the programing skill as well in my country. Iran had few amount of female developers and we should work harder to get a job in a society which is Saturated with male experts pay our living costs.

SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women currently hold 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less money than men. In most developing countries, more than 65% of women don't have bank accounts and cannot afford to invest in their education. Female refugees also don’t have many opportunities to invest in their education and improve their career horizon - they often work in unskilled, undervalued, and low-paid informal sectors.

SheCodes is here to help provide women in developing countries and women who are refugees with the opportunity to learn how to code for free. SheCodes offers a solid introduction to product development, product design and product management.
