Alina's Story
My first experience with coding was with Ruby and rails, about 10 years ago, during my tenure in bioinformatics section. At the time, I needed to develop a pipeline for phylogenetic analysis. With minimal guidance, I dove into learning R, relying heavily on API references. It was challenging, but I embraced the process and quickly fell in love with coding. Now, a decade later, I’m reigniting that passion by learning a new programming language: Kotlin. While I’ve been learning from Youtube video, I often find myself stuck and realize now that I need more structured guidance to fully understand the core principles and accelerate my progress.
Coding has given me a sense of empowerment and purpose. It’s not just about writing lines of code; for me, it’s about problem-solving, creating solutions, and finding logic in chaos. In a world that often feels overwhelming, coding gives me clarity and control.
