Andiswa's Story In high school I tried enrolling in an information technology class after googling a few careers I felt I might be interested in, however after losing my father my mom could no longer afford the additional fees to pay for my coding classes so i had to quit. My interest in coding started at a young age mainly because I wanted to discover what my interests were for futute education (university/college) despite me enjoying learning the skill, my journey was unfortunately cut short before i could fully harness it. This left me with an interest in coding that i believe i can still gain with the help of this programme.

🙋‍♀️ Andiswa's Motivation

South africa’s economy is highly saturated leaving a lot of the youth unemployed. I am looking to upskill myself in order to increase my chances of employment and gain profeciency in future proof skills especially with the emergance of AI. Our government has also limited public student funds to assist with educating the youth making it difficult to upskill and compete in the job market. Learning how to code would not only upskill me as a youth in the struggling economy of south africa, but can hopefully afford me to make additional income and pay to further my studies and support my family fincially.

🤹‍♀️ Andiswa's Hobbies

I enjoy playing netball, reading and writing (i have an appreciation for literature) and I enjoy volunterring as i myself have seen the value of assisatnce from people and I would want to be the help I myself once needed.
