Bethelhem Daniel's Story Back in high school, I stumbled upon the world of coding. It was a place where lines of text could create powerful programs. The whole process fascinated me. Algorithms, those problem-solving paths, both challenged and excited me. Now, my interest goes beyond curiosity—I want to dive deeper, enhance my skills, and tackle various challenges through coding.

🙋‍♀️ Bethelhem Daniel's Motivation

From an early age, I’ve been fascinated by the intersection of creativity and logic that technology offers. However, I’ve also witnessed the prevailing stereotypes that limit women’s participation in this field. SCA provides a platform to challenge these stereotypes head-on. By actively participating, I aim to showcase that women can excel in tech—whether it’s coding, design, or project management. I want to be a living testament to the fact that gender should never be a barrier to pursuing one’s passion.

🤹‍♀️ Bethelhem Daniel's Hobbies

I enjoy learning new languages (both programming and human language), coding, cooking new recipes, travelling., reading, and watching movies.

🎯

SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women currently hold 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less money than men. In most developing countries, more than 65% of women don't have bank accounts and cannot afford to invest in their education. Female refugees also don’t have many opportunities to invest in their education and improve their career horizon - they often work in unskilled, undervalued, and low-paid informal sectors.

SheCodes is here to help provide women in developing countries and women who are refugees with the opportunity to learn how to code for free. SheCodes offers a solid introduction to product development, product design and product management.
