Bulela's Story One day, I was busy applying for jobs and I came across a website that offered free coding classes and I watched a few videos. After that I have been curious and I did my research, applying for learnerships and short courses but I was only able to enrol for a Systems Development level 4 program where I learnt a bit about coding. I am interested in learning how to code because coding isn’t just about acquiring skills for me but it’s about embracing new challenges and expanding my horizons.
My motivation to join SheCodes stems from a desire to empower myself and create a meaningful impact in the Technology Industry and my community. Growing up in a rural area where resources were limited, I often felt a desire to learn and explore beyond what was available to me. For me, joining SheCodes represents not just a chance to gain technical skills but also an opportunity to break barriers and inspire young girls in my community. I want to show them that despite our circumstances, we can pursue and transform our futures. I want to join SheCodes because I want to explore new career opportunities and break into tech field. The hands on projects will allow me to see my progress and build my confidence.
I love reading books on personal development and I love learning new skills.
