Catalina's Story After getting a bit disappointed with a Data Analyst course I was doing, a friend suggested why not try my hand at web development. He's a SEO engineer, and even though I've always been interested in video games and internet altogether, I never dared to pursue a career in IT because I was always under the impression that you had to be an ace at math (my weakest subject) and do calculations or algorithms all day. At the end, he convinced me saying that it was mostly about the motivation to learn the codes, how to structure the website and to create. So, I tried a course in Udemy and realized this was something I could really do and it was fun as well!

🙋‍♀️ Catalina's Motivation

I'd like to be part of a community of women interested in coding because this has always seemed like a very male-dominated field to me. So, in this way I hope to learn a new set of skills in a growing market and hopefully later on help to uplift other women as well. Also, the courses seem very beginner-friendly and nicely structured, which does not make it overwhelming for someone who's taking their first steps into tech.

🤹‍♀️ Catalina's Hobbies

I like watching movies at home, taking strolls or riding my bicycle on sunny days, playing on my phone and reading mangas.
