Dimakatso's Story My interest in coding began in high school when I was introduced to technology and basic coding concepts at the Sci-Bono Computer Lab. Although it wasn’t heavy or advanced work, it sparked my curiosity and fascination with how technology works. I found myself intrigued by the logic behind coding and the potential to create and solve problems through it. A few years later I tried learning HTML and JavaScript through YouTube. I love puzzles and solving complex problems, which is why I am particularly drawn to coding. The challenge of breaking down intricate tasks and finding creative, logical solutions excites me. This passion for problem-solving, combined with my curiosity for technology, makes coding a perfect fit for me.
My motivation for applying stems from a desire to contribute meaningfully to the field of technology. I am particularly interested in the intersection of coding with real-world applications, such as enhancing the efficiency of business processes or creating innovative tools for everyday use. Learning to code will not only equip me with technical expertise but also enable me to bring creative ideas to life. Additionally that SheCodes empowers young female individuals to transition to industries that have controversial nuances against women.
In my free time, I enjoy activities that challenge my mind and keep me engaged, such as solving puzzles and Sudoku. I am also a fan of dystopian, fantasy and psychological thriller movies. Staying active is important to me, so I regularly go to the gym to maintain both physical and mental well-being. I am passionate about giving back to my community through charity work, which allows me to make a positive impact in the lives of others.
