Elina's Story first became interested in coding during secondary school when I started a coding club at Sega. The experience of collaborating with others, solving problems, and creating something from scratch sparked my passion for coding. The thrill of writing code and seeing it come to life as functioning programs and applications captivated me, and I realized the vast potential of technology to drive change and innovation.
My motivation for learning how to code with SheCodes stems from being a girl in a community where girls still face significant challenges in pursuing careers in technology, which remains a male-dominated field. I am passionate about breaking these barriers and demonstrating that girls and young women can excel in technology. By gaining coding skills, I aim to inspire other girls in my community to pursue their interests in technology and show that gender should not be a limitation. SheCodes provides the perfect platform to acquire these skills and to join a supportive community of women who are dedicated to making a mark in the tech world
I have a diverse range of hobbies that keep me engaged and inspired. I enjoy reading, which allows me to explore new ideas and perspectives. Technology and coding are also significant passions of mine; I love delving into new tech trends and solving coding challenges. Additionally, I find great satisfaction in participating in cybersecurity activities and challenges, honing my skills and staying ahead of emerging threats. When I want to unwind, I like to spend time with friends, watch movies, or take a walk in nature to recharge.
