Esethu's Story
Growing up in a small village, I didn't have much exposure to technology, but my two older brothers changed that for me. They were both studying computer science in university, and whenever they came home, they would share stories about their projects and the things they were learning. I was fascinated by the way they could create something from scratch using just their computers.
I remember being amazed by the simple programs they would write, like calculators or games. They would explain the logic behind it, and I was hooked. I wanted to learn more. They started teaching me the basics, and I would watch them code for hours, asking questions and trying to understand.
Seeing my brothers' passion for coding sparked something in me. I realized that technology wasn't just something you used, but something you could create and shape. And coming from a place where technology was scarce, I knew that learning to code could open doors for me and my community.
My brother's influence and encouragement got me started, and now I'm excited to continue learning and exploring the world of coding. It's amazing how something that started as a curiosity has become a passion and a potential career path for me.
