Ethel's Story Eversince I was young, I fell in love with computers even though my family did not had one. The unfortunate part that happened in my family is that I have a brother who is mute and I always feel sorry for him. I thought it wise that the only way I can help him is to learn how to code so that I can come up with someone that can help me communicate with him effectively. Not only him, but it can also help people with disabilities like him in the country. People with disabilities suffers alot and I believe that by helping them will ease their problems
I was inspired by someone on tiktok who learnt how to code with SheCodes. This gave me hope as someone who has been trying to learn how to code for five years but I did not have any mentor or a structured program. I ended up achieving nothing. Now, I want to try my luck and I believe I can make it. I am an energetic person who is always willing to learn new things. I believe that if I get enrolled to this program, I can learn things and motivate others to learn as well. Girls are mostly underrated when it comes to technology but I want to be an exception so that when people see me, they should see greatness and I believe that when girls see me they will be motivated like the way someone on tiktok motivated me to apply.
I love watching Koreans, playing flute, writing my thoughts, knitting, doing yoga and some glutes exercises
