Gabriela 's Story I had the opportunity to be part of a similar program back in Peru in 2019, from Laboratoria a Peruvian Social Start-Up. I would say Laboratoria is the Latino/Spanish version of SheCodes. That was my first introduction to coding and it was really inspiring to be surrounded by so many women who have such high aspirations and want a better future and better quality of life. There, I learned how important and essential is to have women in the Tech Sector and how this sector has countless opportunities.
I would love to be part of this program because I see it as an opportunity to better my tech skills and knowledge already gained at university. Besides that, I would also love to be part of the SheCodes community because it is really inspiring to see how SheCodes is having such a positive impact on the lives of many women and how it is contributing to closing the huge gap in gender that exists in the tech sector.
I love working out in the mornings right after I wake up. It gives me so much energy and joy and gets me through the day. I also love swimming and I started doing boxing recently. Besides that, I also love to dance to Latino music or reggaeton and I also love reading.
