Ganga's Story My interest in coding actually sparked after a career shift. Before I got married, I spent two years as a physics lecturer, putting my nuclear physics postgraduate degree to good use! After taking a six-year break to focus on family, I decided to re-enter the workforce. The flexibility of the IT field, particularly the ability to work remotely, really appealed to me โ€“ it would allow me to support my husband's startup while also contributing financially. So, I took a one-month coding bootcamp to build a foundation. And that's where things got interesting! Coding turned out to be incredibly engaging and stimulating for me. It ignited a passion to delve deeper and become a full-stack developer.

๐Ÿ™‹โ€โ™€๏ธ Ganga's Motivation

I'm driven to learn to code with SheCodes for two main reasons. First and foremost, I want to empower myself to provide greater financial security for my family. With two children, I see coding as a valuable skill that can open doors to new career opportunities and allow me to contribute more significantly to our household income. Additionally, my husband is a passionate micro SAAS founder who's pouring his heart into his startup. Learning to code will equip me to understand the digital landscape he navigates, become a tech-savvy partner, and potentially even offer him support within his venture. Beyond the financial benefits, I'm incredibly motivated to be a part of the ever-evolving digital world. Understanding how digital products are built and function will not only make me a more informed consumer but also allow me to integrate technology seamlessly into our family life. This empowers me to be a tech-savvy wife and mother, better equipped to cater to our family's needs in today's digital age.

In my downtime, I find joy in nurturing my home garden. It's incredibly rewarding to witness the fruits (or vegetables!) of my labor and provides a sense of accomplishment. I also enjoy keeping a clean and organized home โ€“ it creates a calming atmosphere for myself and my family. Additionally, I'm passionate about learning new things, and recently picked up sewing. It allows me to express my creativity by stitching designs and practicing them on my machine. It's a fun way to unwind and potentially even create something beautiful for my family or myself.
