Gargi's Story
I enjoy how as a group of programmers, without ever meeting each other, we can understand how the other person thinks and solves a problem, simply by looking at their code! My exciting journey through the packages and libraries of computer science began when the four wheeled, doubled capacitor, single processor prototype took the right, right turn at the junction. In that moment, the numerous brainstorming coding sessions and self doubt evaporated; I was happy to finally communicate to the robot through a piece of code and feel the magic of a simple code accomplishing tasks in the three dimensional world. When I come across a code from 1970’s which is now used to build highly scalable systems for millions of users, I find myself full of admiration and hope to contribute to this vast virtual space, making life easier and accessible for people around the world. As a child, I saw my mother work as a software engineer, which further motivated me to join the industry and contribute as diligently and gracefully as her.
