Getrude 's Story I first became interested in coding during high school when I took a computer science class. I remember being fascinated by how lines of code could create something functional and engaging. After that, I started exploring coding on my own. It felt empowering to create something from scratch. I loved problem-solving and the logical thinking involved in coding. Coding made me realize that it isn’t just about t the technical skills; it’s about connecting with others and learning together. That sense of community is what drew me to SheCodes.
I believe it’s a powerful way to bring my ideas to life. I’ve always been passionate about problem-solving and creativity, and coding feels like the perfect tool to combine both. Being part of the SheCodes community is also important to me. I love the idea of connecting with other women who are on similar journeys. Having a supportive network can make a huge difference in learning and growing together. Additionally, I see coding as a valuable skill that can open up new career opportunities for me. I’m eager to explore different roles in tech and see where my skills can take me. Finally, I’m passionate about increasing diversity in tech. I want to contribute to an environment where different perspectives are valued, and I believe that learning to code is a crucial step in that direction.
My favorite hobbies include listening to music, which always lifts my spirits and inspires me. I also enjoy walking, as it gives me a chance to clear my mind and appreciate nature. Both activities help me relax and recharge.
