Gugu's Story I first became interested in coding when I noticed the immense impact it has on our daily lives and society. My biggest inspiration in coding is my late Father who owned his own small coding company. Coding is not just a technical skill but a powerful tool that can bring innovative ideas to life. Whether it's revolutionizing healthcare, creating immersive gaming experiences, or making our lives more convenient with smart home technology, coding is everywhere. I want to be a part of shaping the future and bringing positive change through technology. That's what got me excited about learning to code.
My reason for learning how to code with SheCodes is to equip myself with a valuable skill that can open doors to new opportunities and creative expression. I believe that coding can help me better understand the technologies that shape our contemporary world, as well as enable me to create and contribute to innovative solutions. Moreover, as a woman in a male-dominated industry, I want to challenge the status quo and inspire other women to join me in pursuing this exciting field. And lastly, I just completed my BA degree and I’m currently doing my honours in sociology, doing coding will challenge me academically in other fields and I believe that with this coding qualification I will be able to get a better job so I can be able to support my family.
