Irene's Story My interest in coding began when I started exploring how technology is shaping the future, even in everyday tasks like using apps or browsing websites. Though I had no prior experience, the idea of being able to create something functional from scratch really appealed to me. I was fascinated by how code works behind the scenes to bring digital products to life. I started watching tutorials and experimenting with small projects, and I quickly realized that coding allows for endless creativity and problem-solving. The potential to build something meaningful and make a difference, even as a beginner, motivated me to dive deeper into tech. Now, I’m eager to continue learning and growing my skills.
My motivation for learning how to code with SheCodes is deeply rooted in my desire to break out of financial challenges and create a better future for myself and my family. Coming from a background where resources and opportunities were limited, I’ve always sought skills that would allow me to improve my financial situation. Coding is a powerful tool that opens doors to well-paying jobs and the ability to work remotely, offering flexibility and economic empowerment. SheCodes’ accessible and inclusive platform makes it possible for someone like me, who couldn’t afford traditional education, to gain valuable tech skills. I am driven by the need to build a sustainable career in tech, one that allows me to be financially independent while contributing to impactful projects.
In my free time, I enjoy a mix of creative and relaxing activities. One of my favorite hobbies is reading, particularly fiction and self-development books, as they help me unwind while broadening my perspective. I also love cooking and experimenting with new recipes, which allows me to express creativity in the kitchen. Another passion of mine is art, whether it’s drawing, painting, or exploring digital design. Engaging in these artistic activities helps me relax and express myself visually. Recently, I’ve also started exploring coding, which combines my love for problem-solving and creativity.
