Jossina's Story I first became interested in coding through my passion for economics. As I explored the field, I discovered quantitative economics, which combines economic principles with programming and data analysis. The coding modules within quantitative economics fascinated me, and I realized that programming skills would enable me to analyse and interpret data more effectively. This intersection of economics and coding sparked my curiosity, and I became eager to learn programming skills to enhance my understanding of economic concepts and drive meaningful insights. Furthermore, through research due to my curiosity I discovered the endless possibilities that coding offers, from creating innovative solutions to making a meaningful impact. My motivation for learning how to code with SheCodes stems from my desire to enhance my skills in data analysis and interpretation, particularly as i am in the field of economics. As a student of Quantitative Economics, I recognize the importance of programming skills in applying economic theories to real-world problems. Learning to code will enable me to more effectively collect, analyse, and visualize data, allowing me to gain deeper insights and make more informed decisions. I'm excited to acquire programming skills that will complement my economic knowledge, opening up new opportunities for me to make a meaningful impact in the field. SheCodes supportive community, flexible learning format, and focus on practical skills align perfectly with my goals. I'm eager to develop my coding abilities and explore the endless possibilities that come with being proficient in programming.
