Justina's Story My interest in coding began when I started noticing how many people were using technology to create solutions and make a real impact in the world. From developing apps that solve everyday problems to building websites that connect communities, I was inspired by the power of coding to bring ideas to life. I saw how people with coding skills were not only able to secure rewarding jobs but also to innovate and contribute to various fields, from healthcare to education. As I observed this, I realized that coding could open doors for me as well, offering endless possibilities for creativity and problem-solving. I began to feel a growing desire to learn how to code, knowing it would give me the tools to bring my own ideas to fruition and make a meaningful difference. For a while, I kept waiting for the right opportunity to present itself, unsure of how to start. But as I continued to see more people creating and achieving amazing things through coding, I knew I couldn’t wait any longer. I am now actively seeking to learn coding and develop the skills that will enable me to contribute in a meaningful way, just like the people who first inspired me.
As a Nigerian woman, I am deeply motivated to learn how to code with SheCodes because I see technology as a powerful tool that can drive change and create opportunities. In my country, access to education, especially in tech, is still a challenge for many women, and I want to be part of breaking those barriers. I believe coding can unlock many possibilities for personal growth, career advancement, and even social impact. SheCodes offers a unique platform where I can gain practical, hands-on experience and skills that are in high demand globally. As the world continues to digitize, I want to be equipped with the technical skills that will not only help me secure a stable and rewarding job but also allow me to contribute to solving local and global challenges through technology. I am particularly drawn to SheCodes' supportive community of women, which will give me the encouragement and confidence to pursue my goals in tech. By learning to code, I aim to inspire other Nigerian women to break into tech, contribute to the digital economy, and challenge the status quo. My motivation is driven by the desire to empower myself and others through the transformative power of technology.
