Kalkidan's Story My interest in coding began at a young age when I discovered HTML while customizing my personal blog. The ability to create something from scratch fascinated me, and I spent countless hours experimenting with different elements, colors, and layouts. This initial experience sparked my curiosity about how websites and applications function behind the scenes. As I grew older, I became increasingly aware of technology's importance in everyday life, which fueled my desire to learn coding. I often helped friends and family troubleshoot tech issues, realizing that coding skills could empower me to solve problems more effectively. Attending a local coding workshop was a turning point for me. It opened my eyes to the vast possibilities within the tech field, and seeing others create amazing projects motivated me to dive deeper into coding. I was inspired by the collaborative atmosphere and the supportive community of learners. I believe that learning to code will not only fulfill my passion but also provide valuable skills for my future. I am excited about the journey ahead and eager to explore the opportunities that coding can bring, both personally and professionally.
My motivation for learning how to code with SheCodes stems from a desire to empower myself and create meaningful change in my life. As someone who is not currently in a stable financial situation, I recognize that acquiring coding skills can open up new career opportunities and enhance my employability in a rapidly evolving job market. I am particularly drawn to SheCodes because of its supportive community of women, which fosters a collaborative environment where I can learn alongside others who share similar goals and aspirations. Additionally, I have always been fascinated by technology and how it shapes our world. Learning to code will allow me to transform my ideas into tangible projects, giving me a sense of accomplishment and creative expression.
