Kamogelo's Story My interest in coding started when I was approaching my final year as a Bachelor of Social Sciences student. Having seen the world's technological influence and, especially, developments in Artificial Intelligence, I found great potential that this thing called coding could bring into changing the future. I have always been passionate about understanding and improving human development through my studies, and I found one point where technology and social sciences meet. What caught my attention was how coding could be one of the mighty tools in order to address and solve real-world problems. I would be able to dive into the industry of IT and grow while offering my experience and knowledge of how technology impacts human development. More so, I saw an opportunity and contribute to technologies that could make people's lives better and progress in society. However, it was the capability of bridging gaps between social sciences and technologies and providing innovative solutions to enhance human development that made me learn how to code. It is this passion which motivates me to make a difference in both fields.

🙋‍♀️ Kamogelo's Motivation

My motivation for learning how to code with SheCodes comes from my long-standing interest in technology and my big wish to break the stereotypes associated with the IT industry. I have always looked upon IT as a male-dominated industry, and positioning myself within such an environment has always been difficult for me. However, their mission-to empower women in tech-really resonated deeply with me. It's quite an inspiration to see how the institution is pledged to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment where women can be proficient in coding. As I choose SheCodes, I am living my passion for coding and taking part in the community that champions gender equality by encouraging women to break down barriers. It is this peculiar combination of technical education and focus on feminine empowerment that attracted me toward SheCodes, and I am looking forward to contributing as well as gaining from such an empowering environment.

🤹‍♀️ Kamogelo's Hobbies

I love outdoor activities on sunny days, playing tennis for example. My laptop-just to practice coding with Rodocodo and Grid Garden. I love quality time with friends, family, and loved ones over a nice restaurant or trying new food, and going on a hike together.
