Karabo's Story In high school, I was introduced to coding through a subject called CAT. However, the content covered in that subject was not comprehensive enough to satisfy my curiosity and passion for coding. My interest further developed when Vodacom organized a "Codelikeagirl" camp at our high school. This experience fueled my enthusiasm for coding, but unfortunately, I faced limitations due to the scarcity of opportunities to learn, as well as a lack of resources and internet access. Despite the initial exposure and the inspiring camp, the constraints on learning coding were evident. The shortage of opportunities made it challenging to explore this interest further. Additionally, the lack of resources and limited internet access became significant barriers in my coding journey. These challenges, however, have not deterred my enthusiasm for coding, and I remain eager to overcome these obstacles and pursue my passion for coding with determination and resourcefulness.
I genuinely want to enhance and improve my coding skills as a computer science student. Often, I find it challenging to grasp the content taught in my courses, motivating me to explore SheCodes as a potential solution. My goal is not only to excel academically but also to grow as an individual in this rapidly advancing technological world. Recognizing the urgency of staying equipped with relevant skills, I've tried several websites to develop my coding abilities. However, none of them have provided the authenticity I seek. I believe that SheCodes could be the foundational resource I need to progress in my coding journey. In this ever-evolving world, technological advancements occur every minute, and I want to ensure that I am keeping pace. I trust that SheCodes will play a crucial role in shaping my skills and contributing to my growth. I'm eager to invest in this learning opportunity and build a strong foundation for my future endeavors.
Beyond my passion for coding and designing, writing occupies a unique and cherished space as my second love. The dream of witnessing my words materialize into a published book is a profound aspiration that fuels my creative journey. In addition to writing, another avenue of artistic expression I explore is creating fashion content. I envision merging my coding skills with this passion, creating a harmonious blend of technology and style. While the exact integration remains a puzzle to solve, this aspect of my creative journey is a work in progress, and I am excited to unravel the possibilities that lie ahead.
