Kholeka's Story I wasn’t really interested in coding at first. My focus during university was on business and strategic management. However, during my gap year after graduating, I started to see how technology was shaping industries, especially in ways that could enhance business strategies. As I explored different career options, I became curious about coding and its role in building solutions that drive innovation. The more I researched and learned, the more my interest grew, and I realised that coding would allow me to combine my business knowledge with tech skills to create impactful solutions.
My motivation for learning how to code with SheCodes stems from my desire to transition into the tech industry. After studying a Bachelor of Commerce in Strategic Management, I've realised that technology plays a critical role in shaping modern business strategies. I want to combine my strategic management background with coding skills to bridge the gap between business and technology. Learning to code will empower me to work on tech-driven solutions that enhance customer experiences and business operations, opening up new opportunities for my career in the tech industry.
In my free time, I enjoy a variety of activities that keep me both active and relaxed. I love reading fictional novels, which helps me unwind and escape into different worlds. I also enjoy going to the gym and doing outdoor activities, as they keep me energised and allow me to stay healthy. Spending time with my family is very important to me, and I love going to church for the sense of community it provides. Another favourite pastime is eating out and trying different meals. I'm always excited to explore new flavours. Recently, I've taken up cooking as a hobby, and I've been having a lot of fun experimenting with new recipes.
