Kyi Phyu's Story I once got an opportunity to learn introduction to coding. It introduced me to the world in which I can create my own small projects using programming languages. Needless to say, it was life changing.

🙋‍♀️ Kyi Phyu's Motivation

My motivation for joining SheCodes stemmed from a simple curiosity about coding. However, as I delved deeper into programming concepts and completed my first project – a simple website – I realized the immense potential and excitement coding offers. Discovering the diverse career opportunities in coding has further fueled my determination to learn and explore more with SheCodes.

🤹‍♀️ Kyi Phyu's Hobbies

I have a passion for playing the guitar and creating music. I find joy in listening to various genres, drawing inspiration from the melodies and lyrics. While my drawing skills aren't at a professional level, I enjoy expressing myself through sketches. Additionally, writing allows me to articulate my thoughts and ideas, mostly narrating my own emotions but lately it has become a skill to improve, which I think is amazing cuz I can do what I like and use it as a skill.

SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women currently hold 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less money than men. In most developing countries, more than 65% of women don't have bank accounts and cannot afford to invest in their education. Female refugees also don’t have many opportunities to invest in their education and improve their career horizon - they often work in unskilled, undervalued, and low-paid informal sectors.

SheCodes is here to help provide women in developing countries and women who are refugees with the opportunity to learn how to code for free. SheCodes offers a solid introduction to product development, product design and product management.
