Lalao's Story My colleague at work once told me about coding but I didn't really take any interest in it. Months later, we had a new manager from Nigeria at our workplace who told me about coding once again when I explained to him the challenge I have been facing. He also made me understand I could learn to code in the comfort of my home hence my interest in it. Learning to code online enables me to also carry out my other responsibilities effectively without the risk of losing my present job.
When I was younger, I missed a lot of opportunities to get into a good career path due to a lack of finances which has made me feel bad about myself and life. I lost a lot, including my Father and younger sister, because of no finances and a good job. I have always searched for opportunities that can better my life, family, and my environment. Through searching for options, I saw that coding was one way I could achieve a lot and help others learn and better their lives and those around them. I have tried applying to many boot camps but they all required me to pay which I couldn't afford. Thanks to a friend who informed me about SheCodes while doing a search on google, I decided to check it out. SheCodes will be one of the best opportunities for me because of the well-structured program that will equip me with the knowledge and skill to be competitive and also help improve the technology ecosystem in Madagascar.
My hobby has always been singing hence the reason I joined my church's Choir. I also love meeting and interacting with people.
