Leticia's Story My interest in coding began out of curiosity and a passion for technology and problem-solving. Growing up, I was always fascinated by how websites, apps, and AI-powered tools work. This curiosity led me to explore basic programming concepts during my early studies. When I started my Bachelor of Computer Science at the Institute of Accountancy Arusha (IAA), I was introduced to Python, Java, C, and web development technologies. The ability to write code and see it come to life through projects excited me and motivated me to go deeper into the field. As I continued learning, I developed a strong interest in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML), realizing their potential to solve real-world problems. Now, I am eager to improve my skills, build impactful solutions, and contribute to the tech industry.
My motivation for learning how to code with SheCodes comes from my deep passion for technology, innovation, and problem-solving. As a second-year Computer Science student at the Institute of Accountancy Arusha (IAA), I am eager to enhance my skills in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning, and Software Development. I admire SheCodes’ commitment to empowering women in tech and believe that being part of this program will provide me with the opportunity to gain practical coding experience, mentorship, and a supportive learning community. I am particularly excited about working on real-world projects, improving my coding proficiency, and expanding my knowledge in AI applications. Ultimately, I want to use my coding skills to create innovative solutions, contribute to impactful projects, and inspire more women to join the tech industry. Learning with SheCodes will be a valuable step toward achieving my career goal of becoming a Machine Learning Engineer.
Outside of coding and technology, I enjoy engaging in activities that challenge my creativity and expand my knowledge. Some of my favorite hobbies include: • Reading and Studying the Bible – I find peace and inspiration in learning more about my faith. • Exploring AI and Machine Learning – I love experimenting with AI models and learning new things about technology. • Solving Coding Challenges – I enjoy solving coding problems and participating in programming exercises to sharpen my skills. • Listening to Music – Music helps me relax and stay motivated, especially when coding or studying. • Spending Time with Loved Ones – I value quality time with family and friends.
