Malak's Story I always wondered how apps and websites work and the thinking and creativity behind them, and that is exactly what got me hooked on coding. As a kid, I was always online, clicking here and tapping there, and I wanted to know how this digital magic happens, and that is where my coding adventure began. In order to satisfy my passion, I started watching online tutorials on Python and HTML. It was like learning a new language, but instead of talking to people, I was talking to the computer. My first formal step was girls in tech programs, and I learned that I create, not only use. I was lucky to meet inspiring women who shared their stories in tech with us and really pushed me to dream bigger and aim high.As I dived deeper, I realized that coding is not just about typing systems like copying and pasting; the matter is in the idea, the logistics, and the creativity. Learning coding enabled me to create innovative solutions to address my everyday challenges, improve my communications, and drive social and technological progress. Coding is like solving puzzles, transferring imaginary ideas into hands-on projects, and making you life a better place.

🙋‍♀️ Malak's Motivation

I have always dreamed of changing the world by using technology, and that is exactly what I aim to do with She Codes. I have always been excited about technology, but let’s face it, learning coding is not easy or cheap at all, so I found it an irreplaceable opportunity to join She Codes as it offers me a golden ticket to the tech world. As I grew up, I saw how technology has improved everything around us, but I also noticed that not everyone has equal access to these amazing tools, and this was my problem. Due to financial constraints and limited access to educational resources, I wasn't able to pursue my passion. My aim is not only becoming a computer expert but also helping others like me. The possibilities in my mind are endless; for example, imagine creating an app that helps my brother study more efficiently and an app that helps my mother schedule her work. On the other hand, I will not keep all this coding goodness for myself; I will teach other girls what I learn and create a girl gang that proves that tech is not only a major for boys.

🤹‍♀️ Malak's Hobbies

I am interested in making accessories using plastic bands because it makes me more creative when I try to brainstorm to come up with a new design. Reading is another passion of mine as I am the love of getting lost in different worlds through books. I also enjoy dancing as it provides me with positive energy.
