Malika's Story When I was little, my cousin, who was living with us at that time, was studying computer science, my interest in computers started from that time, and later when I grew up, I was introduced to coding, it was very interesting to me that How can we solve problems with coding. The first time I was able to activate my computer's Window using cmd, it gave me a sense of accomplishment and creativity, which was one of the best experiences for me. Learning coding in Afghanistan was very difficult and I didn't have the conditions to learn it, so I started watching educational videos or taking it as a self-study.

🙋‍♀️ Malika's Motivation

One of my friends I met a year ago. When we were talking about our dreams and aspirations, I realized that we both have similar dreams and goals, she is currently one of your students and she introduced you to me, after doing a little research on you, I became very interested in you. and I can't wait to be with you. The opportunity you provided to Afghan girls in the current situation is the best opportunity for me who has a great deal of interest in coding, I tested other ways, including self-tutorial, but I found learning with you is the best opportunity for me. So i can learn coding from the best way that I can.

🤹‍♀️ Malika's Hobbies

One of my hobbies is walking, walking always helps me to think about different things and exercise at the same time. Solving math questions and reaching the answer was always interesting and fun for me, it is interesting to me that in mathematics we can sometimes reach the same answer by using different solutions. And playing some games and games, of course, it is always more interesting to me how we can make these games, and how to make better, different and more useful games. And reading different books, and learn new things.

SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women currently hold 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less money than men. In most developing countries, more than 65% of women don't have bank accounts and cannot afford to invest in their education. Female refugees also don’t have many opportunities to invest in their education and improve their career horizon - they often work in unskilled, undervalued, and low-paid informal sectors.

SheCodes is here to help provide women in developing countries and women who are refugees with the opportunity to learn how to code for free. SheCodes offers a solid introduction to product development, product design and product management.
