Margaret's Story In my second year in university pursuing a course in Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering, we were introduced to the basics of programming and coding which sparked my curiosity and a love for creating things. Seeing how technology impacts our lives and its applications in modern day agriculture, I wondered how it all worked. Coding's problem-solving aspect appealed to my love of challenges, and the idea of turning code into practical applications fascinated me. I realized coding isn't just a skill but a way to bring ideas to life and contribute to innovation in different fields. It's a simple and powerful way to understand and be part of the constantly changing world of technology.

As an agricultural and Biosystems Engineering graduate, starting SheCodes is a very personal journey that is motivated by both internal and professional goals. Being able to bring my thoughts to life digitally through coding is more than just a skill. Coding's emphasis on problem-solving aligns with my innate drive to overcome obstacles. Beyond professional advancement, I see coding as an entrepreneurial instrument that satisfies my love of creativity. The idea of ongoing education with SheCodes fits nicely with my journey of personal development, offering a forum for thought leadership and a helpful network. My goal in learning to code is to become future-proof, satiate my technological curiosity, and release my creativity in the digital world. SheCodes is more than simply a course; it's a customized journey that combines my career goals with a strong need for expression and self-discovery.

My hobbies include a love for reading and a keen interest in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and remote sensing. Reading serves as both an escape and a continuous learning experience, offering diverse perspectives and knowledge. On the technical side, I am deeply engaged in the dynamic fields of GIS and remote sensing. Exploring spatial data analysis and mapping, these hobbies provide a harmonious blend of intellectual curiosity and practical skills development. Through tutorials, experiments, and real-world applications, I derive joy from unraveling the complexities of geospatial technology. Together, these hobbies contribute not only to my personal growth but also enhance my proficiency in understanding and utilizing cutting-edge technologies.
