Matshidiso 's Story I fell in love with designing. I always understood concepts better with a bit of visual design. So I got introduced to UX design recently, so as I was conducting more research, I came across a blog based on women in the IT field and how their journey was like learning how to code. So I got eager to learn more, and it landed me at SheCodes.
As an unemployed woman in my country, women are subjected to a number of extreme conditions in order to survive and sustain a lifestyle that is deemed normal and acceptable to society. Been born in a household that is run by a strong, independent woman, I can only strive to live as an independent individual. Shecodes caters for the needs of young women looking to make it in the IT sector. It is no surprise that everything is becoming digital, and there is a high demand for people in the IT field. Women are countable in many areas, even the IT field. I want to join Shecodes to better enhance my career, equip myself with a lifetime skill, and lastly, be part of a community of women that will help shape the future of technology. Being able to code will open a whole new door for me and better opportunities.
Hiking, painting, reading, and designing are enjoyable activities for me.
