Mbali's Story I first became interested in coding when I learned HTML during my Computer Applications Technology course in high school. It was exciting to see how coding could bring ideas to life, and I enjoyed creating simple web pages. That initial experience sparked my curiosity, and I’ve always wanted to learn more about coding since then. However, instead of pursuing a full degree in computer science, I prefer to learn coding on my own terms, through practical, hands-on experiences and accessible platforms like SheCodes. I find this approach allows me to focus on the skills I need without the commitment of a formal degree program. I'm eager to deepen my understanding of web development and other coding languages, as I believe these skills will open up new opportunities for me both personally and professionally.
My motivation for learning how to code with SheCodes stems from my desire to create better opportunities for myself and my family. As I look to build a more secure and prosperous future, I see coding as a powerful skill that can open doors to new career possibilities. Technology is rapidly changing the job market, and I want to be part of that evolution. By learning how to code, I aim to increase my earning potential, which will directly benefit my family’s financial stability. I also believe that acquiring tech skills will give me the flexibility to work remotely, balancing career and family life more effectively. Ultimately, my goal is to be in a position where I can not only support my loved ones but also inspire them to pursue their own dreams. SheCodes offers the tools and community to help me achieve this vision, and I’m excited to take this step.
