Mutiat's Story My first interest in coding was when we had a practical session on embedded system in my year two during my undergraduate. A microcontroller was programmed to power ON and off some set of LEDs at an interval. I was marvelled with the operations and was determined to pursue a coding career

🙋‍♀️ Mutiat's Motivation

One of my motivation for learning how to code with SheCodes is their contributions to the community ranging from the free classes, open source codes on github, live express class and more. SheCodes Foundation has been one of the organizations most of my peers in doing excellently well in tech learnt from while I have been longing to have such opportunity. The weekly assignment, solution to given assignment, community help and project are some other reasons for my motivation for learning with SheCodes.

🎯

SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women currently hold 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less money than men. In most developing countries, more than 65% of women don't have bank accounts and cannot afford to invest in their education. Female refugees also don’t have many opportunities to invest in their education and improve their career horizon - they often work in unskilled, undervalued, and low-paid informal sectors.

SheCodes is here to help provide women in developing countries and women who are refugees with the opportunity to learn how to code for free. SheCodes offers a solid introduction to product development, product design and product management.
