Nargis's Story
My journey towards becoming intrigued by coding is deeply rooted in my childhood, a period characterized by an insatiable curiosity about new knowledge and technology. This passion was sparked under rather unique circumstances; as a young child in elementary school, my access to technology was limited. My brother owned a PC, which was off-limits to me. However, in his absence, I seized the opportunity to explore it. I remember sitting in front of the computer, fascinated by the keyboard, and dreaming about the possibilities it could unlock.
As I progressed to secondary school, my appetite for understanding technology grew. I acquired skills in the office package and Photoshop, which further cemented my interest in the digital world. However, a pivotal moment occurred during my 10th grade, which truly set the direction of my path toward coding. After volunteering to print some questions for an assessment in the office, my mathematics teacher made a discovery about me. Upon my return, he remarked, "Nargis, I have discovered something," which initially worried me. But then, he expressed a profound insight, stating, "the thing I discovered is that you will be a great coder in the future." This statement resonated with me and ignited a desire to delve deeper into the world of coding.
Driven by this encouragement, I began to explore coding more fervently. I dedicated myself to learning and understanding the intricacies of programming, seeing it as a tool to bring my technological dreams to life. The seed planted by my teacher's words has grown into a relentless pursuit of knowledge in coding, motivating me to seek opportunities like SheCodes to further my skills and fulfill the potential seen in me years ago.
