Natalia's Story
Since I was a kid, I loved to create little games in Power Point. I’ve always enjoyed playing video games, but at home back then, we only had one old PC that did not have games installed and no consoles (Video games were not something common for a girl, plus it was not something my mom could afford, her incomes were to paid rent and other debts). I used to go to a cyber cafe and became obsessed with dress up games, so I created a PPT that had some PJs drawn in Paint and started to play with some buttons that triggered the logic to play my own game (The initial PJ had not hair not make up and the final result was a doll with a full outfit, it took me months and there's when I realized variables requires more logic than math). That was the first experience I had trying to understand how games can be created, and since then, although I haven’t had the chance to study programming or another career, I've always keep that memory with me of how it felt to overcome a challenge through a creative idea and basic tools.
