Ndinelao's Story A girlfriend of mine was learning to code and she encouraged me to take lessons. I was always very afraid to understand what exactly coding entails because I thought it was only for STEM students because surely what business does someone with a social science qualification have with coding?!

🙋‍♀️ Ndinelao's Motivation

In 2023 I read a beautiful book by Rhonda Rhimes titled, "Year of Yes." In her book, Shonda shares how saying yes to things outside of her comfort zone allowed her to rediscover joy in her capabilities. The biggest lesson Shonda learned is how small she made her life through fear. Like Shonda, I have spent most of my life running away from anything I believe to be "difficult." I have always found coding and anything computer related to be too complex for me. This is my year of yes. I am saying yes to opportunities that scare me. I am finally committed to saying yes to understanding the complex subjects such as coding. I am also eager to improve my skillset because it improves problem-solving and creativity.

🤹‍♀️ Ndinelao's Hobbies

I enjoy reading a good nonfiction preferably by African author. I love to walk in nature, spend time with friends and family and lastly, I enjoy just being, doing absolutely nothing.
