Neo's Story In High School, I did computer studies and honestly, it was the only subject I enjoyed and passed very well in. I learned a bit of HTML and quite enjoyed it. I wanted to learn more and I thought the only way was going to tertiary for a degree in Computer Science. That failed and that's when I started my research and came across coding. I looked into it and realized that that is exactly what I want to learn. I saw how it advanced people’s lives (specifically women) and that is what I want for myself. I want to be able to have opportunities and possibilities. It is a very exciting and, for a job I want to get, crucial skill to obtain. I want to excel like coding graduates do. I want to work in tech.

🙋‍♀️ Neo's Motivation

It is 4,5/5 rated. I've seen testimonials and they are nothing short of amazing. Out of all training centres I have looked into, SheCodes is the one highly recommended. After joining the Express class and watching the tour, I'm certain that SheCodes is perfect for a beginner like me. I'll be able to improve the little skills I have with sufficient help and support, get a good job, and finally live a life I've always dreamt of living.

🤹‍♀️ Neo's Hobbies

I read novels, I play computer games, I spend a lot of my time researching on Google, I like downloading apps recommended by social media just to test them out.

SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women currently hold 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less money than men. In most developing countries, more than 65% of women don't have bank accounts and cannot afford to invest in their education. Female refugees also don’t have many opportunities to invest in their education and improve their career horizon - they often work in unskilled, undervalued, and low-paid informal sectors.

SheCodes is here to help provide women in developing countries and women who are refugees with the opportunity to learn how to code for free. SheCodes offers a solid introduction to product development, product design and product management.
