I have been searching for a creative outlet to bring my personal project ideas to life, so coding is the ideal platform that will enable me to do that. Joining a women’s empowerment initiative challenges and dismantles the stereotypes that persist around gender roles and capabilities in the technology field. Being part of this initiative will also futureproof my career by equipping me with the valuable set of skills that are highly sought after in today’s technology-driven world. Learning to code aligns with my personal and professional development interests which include technology and research. My current profession is in the language practice sector, but I have always been fascinated by tech-related activities and consider myself tech-savvy. I am actively working on enhancing my skills and exploring opportunities that can provide me with a more promising professional path, as I feel there is limited progress available in my current position. I also believe the knowledge I will gain in this course will enable me to increase efficiency in my current profession, persevere through problem-solving, and embrace continuous learning.
