Nthabiseng's Story Well, my first year of university required us to build a website, and I suppose that's where it all started for me since when I first entered college, I knew nothing about computer science or coding. Despite how difficult the process was, I was ecstatic every time I got rid of a tiny bug. After submitting, I couldn't stop coding anything and everything because it kept me on my toes and I enjoyed everything about it.
The reason I chose learning to code with SheCodes is that it gives many women opportunities. It inspires women to pursue careers in what is ostensibly "a male-dominated industry." But what if all we're really doing is questioning the industry norm? and I want to take part in that. Women learn to code because it exemplifies freedom in both thought and action, and all women need this kind of space. Also I’ll learn a lot about myself. When it comes down to it, coding is all about problem-solving and using a computer to find a solution. It takes persistence, perseverance, patience, and a lot of trial and error. I want to strengthen my analytic skills and change the way I approach problems, both on the computer and in real life.
I like to read books. I adore Colleen Hoover and Lucy Score and am actively counting down the days until I have read every book they have ever published. I also like occasionally starting a good series and going out with friends.
