Ofentse's Story I first became interested in coding when I stumbled upon a tech workshop online. The idea of creating something from scratch fascinated me. I realized that coding empowers individuals to solve real world problems and express creativity. Additionally, seeing successful women in tech inspired me to explore this field further. I began watching online tutorials and experimenting with simple projects, which ignited my passion for coding. I now see it as a vital skill that can transform my career prospects and help me contribute to my community, making a positive impact through technology.
As a 28 year old unemployed woman in South Africa, my motivation for learning how to code with SheCodes stems from my desire to empower myself and enhance my career prospects. Coding skills are increasingly in demand, and I believe that by learning to code, I can open doors to new opportunities in the tech industry. Additionally, SheCodes offers a supportive community and resources that align with my goal of building a stable future for myself. I am eager to gain practical skills that will not only boost my employability but also enable me to contribute meaningfully to projects that matter to me.
Art, being a creative is a big part of my world and life, learning new technology related information, reading, writing and talking about current news.
