Prisha's Story My interest in coding began during the COVID-19 pandemic when I witnessed how technology was being used to address real-world problems. One instance that fascinated me was seeing how computers and cameras could detect whether someone was wearing a mask or not. Intrigued, I researched how this worked and discovered the world of machine learning. The idea of teaching machines to "think" and recognize patterns sparked my curiosity and ignited my passion for technology. Motivated by this, I started learning coding and diving deeper into machine learning. Over time, I developed my own recognition tool using ML algorithms, which was an incredible milestone in my journey. The process of designing, training, and seeing the model perform felt like bringing an idea to life—a truly rewarding experience. That moment not only cemented my love for coding but also showed me its power to create innovative solutions. It’s amazing how a spark of curiosity during a global crisis turned into a lifelong passion for technology. Today, I’m excited to continue exploring and building tools that make a difference, driven by the same curiosity that first drew me in.
My motivation for learning how to code with SheCodes lies in my passion for technology and my aspiration to create meaningful solutions that make a difference. As a Computer Science student with a keen interest in software development, I see coding as a gateway to innovation and problem-solving. I want to develop skills that allow me to transform ideas into impactful applications, especially in areas like education, women’s empowerment, and community development. SheCodes' mission to support diversity in tech resonates deeply with me. Its hands-on approach and inclusive environment offer the perfect platform to enhance my coding abilities and confidence. I enjoy participating in debates, coding challenges, and sports like football and basketball. Volunteering at orphanages and organizing camps for women’s empowerment brings me joy. I also love dancing, writing, and working on innovative tech projects that make a difference.
