Qyama Pretty 's Story When I learned that coding was used to create the websites, applications, and other digital technologies I use on a daily basis, I got interested in the field. I was attracted by the thought of being able to comprehend and control the technology I was surrounded by. The prospect of using code to "speak" to computers and command them to perform tasks piqued my interest. The idea of developing this new skill set and knowing more about the world of coding inspired me to jump in and begin studying from scratch even though I had no prior expertise.

🙋‍♀️ Qyama Pretty 's Motivation

My motivation that led me to learn it is because coding is everywhere, the impact it has. Secondly, I am motivated by career opportunities in coding as it is the one of the most in demand and highest paid career. Doing coding, I will have the ability to impact millions of people as I can get people use on a daily basis

🤹‍♀️ Qyama Pretty 's Hobbies

I like to take part in a range of variety activities that let me unwind, rejuvenate, and discover hobbies outside of coding. Reading fiction books, going on hikes or nature walks, and experimenting in the kitchen with new dishes are all things that bring me joy.

SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women currently hold 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less money than men. In most developing countries, more than 65% of women don't have bank accounts and cannot afford to invest in their education. Female refugees also don’t have many opportunities to invest in their education and improve their career horizon - they often work in unskilled, undervalued, and low-paid informal sectors.

SheCodes is here to help provide women in developing countries and women who are refugees with the opportunity to learn how to code for free. SheCodes offers a solid introduction to product development, product design and product management.
