Selamawit's Story From an early age, I was drawn to problem-solving and the world of technology. It was during my teenage years when I first became interested in coding. I vividly remember the moment when I watched a TED talk by a software engineer, who showcased how coding empowered individuals to create incredible applications and change the world. As I delved deeper, I became captivated by the logical thinking and creativity required to write lines of code. This initial curiosity soon transformed into a burning passion for coding, and I knew I wanted to pursue it further to unlock endless opportunities and contribute to the ever-evolving digital landscape.
I am excited to join SheCodes and express my strong motivation and enthusiasm. Since high school, I have had a deep desire to integrate coding into the medical field. As a physician, I believe coding skills are essential for embracing the transformative potential of technology in healthcare. Having witnessed the significant impact of technology in medicine, from electronic medical records to telemedicine, I am convinced that coding proficiency is crucial for physicians to adapt and innovate. Learning to code with SheCodes will bridge the gap between medicine and technology, allowing me to develop innovative healthcare solutions and contribute to advancements in medical research.
