Shagun's Story I first became interested in coding somewhat unexpectedly. In school, I was required to take a coding class, and at first, I didn’t see the value in it. However, as I started learning, I realized that coding was a powerful tool for problem-solving. I enjoyed how each challenge could be broken down into smaller steps, and I quickly became fascinated by how I could create solutions from scratch. This class not only taught me the basics but also sparked a curiosity to explore more. Over time, I saw how coding could turn abstract ideas into practical applications, and I became eager to learn more.
I’m excited to learn coding through SheCodes because it’s a great opportunity to build a strong foundation in a skill that’s essential for financial stability and career growth. As an Electrical Engineering student, I’ve already worked on web development and competitive coding, and I believe mastering these skills will open doors to high-paying roles in tech. Coding allows flexibility, remote work opportunities, and the chance to work on projects that have real-world impact, which is why I see it as a long-term path to independence and security. SheCodes offers structured learning and mentorship, which will help me accelerate my progress and position myself for a strong future in the tech industry.
For fun, I enjoy expressing myself creatively through poetry and painting. Writing poetry allows me to capture emotions and thoughts in words, while painting gives me a way to bring visual elements to life. Both activities allow me to tap into my imagination and explore different perspectives. Whether it's finding the perfect line in a poem or experimenting with colors on a canvas, these hobbies provide a great balance to my technical side and help me unwind and stay inspired.
