Thae's Story In a world where technology advancements are accelerating, we need to keep up with the pace, especially if we are aiming to become a scientist in the STEM field. I believe coding is an essential skill of the twenty-first century for everyone to learn. I used to think that coding would be a boring task to do but I was wrong. I learned it from my friend who showed me how we can create many different things through programming and coding. This has opened my eyes. Coding presents us with an opportunity, a door, or a bridge that connects us to limitless possibilities. Although I don't have a background knowledge in computer science, I decided to seek for an adventure and explore the vastness coding can offer.

🙋‍♀️ Thae's Motivation

Recently, I have started a nonprofit organisation which is a teaching platform. I want to design a website for the platform to be able to access and connect with more students worldwide. As I do not have the necessary skill to write codes, I have to rely on my friends who took computer science at school. They are mostly occupied with school work so I also do not want to burden them. To overcome these limitations, I decided to learn to code so I could create as many projects as I want without depending on anyone. Additionally, this skill will prepare me for my future career which is to become a physicist.

🤹‍♀️ Thae's Hobbies

I enjoyed watching sitcoms such as The Big Bang Theory and Friends. These shows provided me with a sense of comfort and relief from my workload. That is why I always take at least 30 minutes off from my daily schedule to watch sitcoms, laugh, and immerse myself in their lives. I am also passionate about teaching. I tutor a group of IGCSE students for free, helping them prepare for their final exam through past paper training and revisions. Although a lot of people thought of teaching to be more career-related, it is a fun way for me to interact with these students and be a part of shaping their academic journey.
