Welela's Story
My interest in coding began at a summer camp, where I was introduced to the world of programming. The camp offered a variety of activities, and one of the most exciting ones was learning the Fortran language. At first, I was skeptical—Fortran seemed old-fashioned and difficult. However, as I dived into its basic syntax, I quickly realized its power and structure. The camp instructors made learning engaging by presenting real-world problems and showing how coding could solve them. I was fascinated by how a few lines of code could simulate complex calculations or process large amounts of data. Through hands-on projects and collaborative learning, I grew more confident in my skills and developed a deep appreciation for how programming could be used to create solutions. By the end of the camp, I was hooked, and I knew that coding would be an essential part of my future.
