Welela's Story My interest in coding began at a summer camp, where I was introduced to the world of programming. The camp offered a variety of activities, and one of the most exciting ones was learning the Fortran language. At first, I was skeptical—Fortran seemed old-fashioned and difficult. However, as I dived into its basic syntax, I quickly realized its power and structure. The camp instructors made learning engaging by presenting real-world problems and showing how coding could solve them. I was fascinated by how a few lines of code could simulate complex calculations or process large amounts of data. Through hands-on projects and collaborative learning, I grew more confident in my skills and developed a deep appreciation for how programming could be used to create solutions. By the end of the camp, I was hooked, and I knew that coding would be an essential part of my future.

🙋‍♀️ Welela's Motivation

My motivation for learning to code with SheCodes stems from a desire to acquire technical skills that I currently lack. As someone with a strong interest in technology, I recognize the importance of coding in today’s world. However, I’ve always felt that I didn’t have access to the right resources or guidance to develop these skills. SheCodes offers a supportive environment tailored to beginners, especially women, which is exactly what I need. Through their hands-on workshops and mentorship, I am able to learn at my own pace while receiving expert guidance. By learning to code, I aim to bridge the gap between my current capabilities and my aspirations. I see coding as a powerful tool that opens doors to a wide range of opportunities, from building my own projects to contributing to larger tech initiatives. SheCodes gives me the confidence and the foundation to pursue my passion for technology and to transform my ideas into reality.

🤹‍♀️ Welela's Hobbies

In my free time, I enjoy reading books that expand my knowledge and imagination. I also volunteer with the Red Cross, helping those in need. Watching movies is another favorite hobby, and I cherish spending quality time with my family.
