🙋♀️ Zamahlubi's Motivation
Coding is more than just a skill for me- it’s a gateway to empowerment for myself and my community. As a Black South African woman, I know firsthand the barriers in the tech world, and I want to break them down. Technology shapes our future, yet so many young girls in my community see it as something distant, something “not meant for them.” I want to change that.
SheCodes is my opportunity to step into this world confidently, learn, grow, and prove that we belong here. I want to use coding to advance my career and uplift others—creating solutions that address real challenges, mentoring young girls, and showing them they can thrive in this space. Representation matters, and I want to be part of that change.
This journey is personal. It’s about rewriting the narrative, challenging expectations, and paving the way for future generations of Black South African women in tech. Learning to code isn’t just about me—it’s about opening doors for others because when one of us rises, we all do.
